Rule on vertical engine bay mounted fuel cells?

Whats the Rule for the vent tube or roll over vent on a vertical front mounted fuel cell (1 gallon aluminum in the engine bay)

I was just gunna coil some -8 up two or three loops then stuff the end of it into the inner fender?

I think as long as the vent is lower than the bottom of the cell it should be fine.
