Roll cage prices

I quoted 4 cages last week.

10 pt in a fox 1700-2100

25.5 underfloor in an F-Body 8000-10000

Thats for CM

I bet you didn`t get any of them .........thats way to high. You need to call around to the fab shops here in Mi. and you will see what i`m talking about. Times are tuff.

Guess I should have been more specific.

The 10 Pt was us removing the interior and installing through floor subframe connectors. Door swingouts ($100 per side) and custom bent bars, no kits.

The 25.5 car was going to be a kit from Wolfe. Tke kit alone is $5000.

Thanks

Man, $1200 for a mild steel with subs is a little high. If you want pm me and we can talk price on cutting your old cage out and doing it right.

Anybody ever try Edward Duffy Tubing? They are in Detroit by Historic Ft. Wayne on W. Jeff. They seem to offer good prices on all types of tube. The more you buy the better the price.

Their Number- 313-841-8600

look up a thread on yellowbullet, called "anyone remember wes's outlaw car" or something close to that............ they 85/86 gt had a 25.5 or .3 cant remember, installed by a VERY well known chassis shop. inspected and certed by NHRA.........upon further investigation by DMC race cars........ummmm not so much. welds blown through, welds not complete. basicly DMC had to cut the whole cage out. pics are on DMC's website. ill do look it up and post links.

How could anyone miss alll that?

Here is an example of a 25.2 cage I am working on right now.

We are completing the car here, but as a roller, with front and rear suspension, wheels/tires, and rear end, you are looking at about $12,000.

yea that's about right!(12000) then another 3-5 K for tin or carbon work, then set up drive line, then front suspension, then fuel and water cells and plumbing, hot and cold work if it's a turbo, installing tabs and plates for electronics, safty items ect. that's how allot of people get stung they are quoted X for a cage which is the easy part and have to pay for everything else that makes a car work!

Put an engine and drive line in wrong and loose 3 tenth's, put bars in the wrong spot car dosent work there's more to it than throwing a kit in a car!
