roll cage 8 or 10

i got it to run really good off it i went to 95 jets up front and 99 in the rears i hav e the stock efi fuel pump on it now with a 850 proform

I would think high 400 to low 500 hp would be more realistic for this setup if the heads are done right, but the comp cam is what kills it for me. Lots of lift, but their grinds are less than spectacular.

I have a VERY good MOPAR guy that can make you a killer cam should you ever choose to change the one you have.

I think your buddies are right here. low 11's to high 10's is realistic.

whats wrong with a comp cam? now the lifters are another story.

hey quick(steve) did you figure out your rearend issue? what gear are you going with so you dont break it

They are going to use a Richmond gear this time, again with the cryo treating and Mikroniting. Should be good for some mid 8 second passes or better. I think the shock of 5-speed is just too much for anything other than a "pro Gear".

if your using the stock fuel pump that could be some of the problem too. it has the pressure you need but not the volume

ahh ok. ive been reading alot on your site on how to make the chassis work. great site and definetly alot of knowledge. i know its helped me decide on how to go

Well, I had a couple of their "custom" grinds and every time I switched to a independent cam guy, the car magically went faster.

The last time I had a cam done, I called them (Comp) again and the guy literally asked me, what engine, what gear, where did I want to shift it, and that was it. He said, hold on a minute, and rattled off some "custom grind" number. After that I will NEVER give them another shot at it. Now if I was a big name racer that had tons of publicity, I am sure they would take more time and come up with something great. however, their phone techs suck at best, and thats all the average guy gets.

well i took it for a spin befor winter hit and it didnt bog or nuthing the only problem im finding is the smell the lifters are the vertical locking roller lifters the ones that u have to put both in at the same time u know with the girdle across them

wow thats shitty, i know jay has you fill out a whole sheet and it goes way more in depth than just that. then he tells you what to shift at, not the other way around

my cam guy tells them what to make the cam. so it works for me and all his motors. he works at roush now and alot of their cams are from comp. i would never let them pick out a cam for me since your head guy should be the one who does that. but i have been happy with all my comp cams but they were also picked out by the same guy. he will be doing another one for me this year if i do a windsor.

their lifters suck, my buddy is bringing mine that broke this year to the pri show next week to show them whatsup. i tore up some shit this year because of those lifters.

Yep. The funny part is a MOPAR guy designed the cam that is in my engine currently..He knows his N/A shit!
