Rip PRO-1

Rest in peace my man. you should have seen him and his kid racing at the street car supernationals 10 years ago. Billy Glidden set him up in a "junk car with a bunch of old junk parts"..Bob qualified 3rd. Billy qualified first. Billy ended up winning the whole thing but his dad went a good three rounds, got out of the groove on his last pass against Blown Alcohol car and lost by maybe a tenth after a good pedal job..

RIP Bob

At one of the Northern Nationals at Milan years ago I got to meet Bob Glidden through a mutual friend. There could not have been a more down to earth laid back guy. My favorite "Glidden moment" was probably his Atlanta crash in 1986. After just an ugly top end crash where you had to wonder if he was even alive, he gets out of the car and one of the first things he does is cover his intake manifold with his driving jacket. He will be missed.
