i read somewhere that the car was acting funny at the shop moments before, kept stalling when they were trying to back it in.

For those who care, I still couldn't figure out why the car basically "exploded"... I mean catch on fire I can see that, but the amount of damage that was done to the car was insane.
They hit an exposed natural gas line. I didn't see that once, in the articles that I had read.
Could it have something to do with the car's construction? I've heard that some of these mid-engine supercars are built for the back half of the car to separate itself from the passenger compartment in a serious accident, but idk if that's true or not.
Do you have a source for the natural gas line thing? Or is that just speculation?
