Ring and Pinion

Are they trash if they have a small chip on the corner of one tooth on the ring and the pinion ?

Thanks for the info. I don't need it and I just wondered if someone could use it or if it was scrap. It's been sitting here for a year or two...

Those chips will not harm anything. Its no where near where the gear set contacts.
I take a die grinder with a stone to every gear I set up. A little extra attention around the chip edges will clean it up just fine, and it will not make noise from those chips.
