right or wrong ?

How dose the exhaust smell when it's running like shit? Dose it over heat when you don't Disconnect a sensor and do you have the test light for checking injectors?
exhaust smells good ( car doesnt have cats ) , car runs normal temp with either the CEL light on or off

anyone have a computer i can use for a split second to test and see if thats my problem ? , maybe someone on here has one for sale ? ... 5.0 auto

Computer yes. Fuel pressure is only 33 with vacuum off? That's too low. Wish I still live a few blocks from you id stop by.

but if it was fuel pressure related a CEL light shouldnt matter , right ? it would run like shit all the time ....... it now dies at idle when it gets put into gear , gets a little better when the car warms up but still stalls out randomly at a stop light or sign because it cant find the idle , going to replace the IAC sensor tomorrow in hopes my idle problem will be solved

It can still be fuel related. When the computer goes into limp mode, it runs in a preprogrammed known mode that will not damage the engine and allow it to keep running, just not at optimum performance. So it could be running on a cal that allows teh injector dwell to be large enough to compensate for the low fuel pressure. This is all speculation at this point, and if someone knows better please chime in. One way to tell if the pump is doing it's job is to pinch off the return line with a gauge on the rail, the pressure should go over 70PSI if you pinch it off all the way. Are you sure you connected all of your grounds back up, and they are clean. Also it wouldn't hurt to do a tap and wiggle test on all your connections. Might have a pin push out in a harness somewhere, or rub through on a wire.

all my grounds are good , i know its not something i did while installing the new motor because its ALWAYS done this even with the old motor and ive kinda just been throwing all kinds of parts at it to fix it and still havent gotten anyware , im probably just going to throw a fuel pump and regulator in and see what happens , if it doesnt fix anything im just going to sell her or trade her for something else , im so sick of this car

:s .. Thought I would throw my .02cents out there. When my 92 Gt's computer was bad, it had trouble finding idle, it took a couple minutes.. I'd have to rev it so it would stop surging. My car ran better .. but it felt like a 15 second car still. I replaced my 75MM MAF with the stock one .. car has gone 13.5 since then. I haven't ran my fuel pressure regulator without the vacuum, but on throttle its around 41-42 psi.

I guess I'm trying to say, is it the factory MAF? Do you have another? Didn't you replace your computer a couple months back??
If its not the fuel pump/regulator, it has to be wiring?

dont know how to test the o2 sensors , it is the stock MAF sensor thow , i did not get a new computer for it , i was looking into using someone elses just to see if it solves my issue but no one got back to me

I have a stock MAF if u wanna try it
i guess it would be worth a shot , kinda makes sence that it could be the MAF now that i think of it , i dont know why i didnt think of it before ,., i wont have time till next wed/thursday thow to stop by , you wouldnt by chance have a 94-95 computer would you lol ?

i think i found the 1 thing you dont have lol ,., i could stop by this wed if its cool with you , i can bring the car by , maybe a 2nd set of eyes and ears on it would help track the problem down

yeah just send me a text or call

ive been driving it around town and what not , even drove threw OCB last night for a split second , i just have to put it in N while coming to a stop or she will stall ( always starts right back up thow ) its kinda a pain in the ass but atleast i can drive it ,., i did notice today that she was getting warm so i plugged back in my sensor to shut the CEL light off and she cooled right down , any one know what thats about ? , i remember someone on here asking if it heated up with the CEL light on
