Restoring Your Convertible top ?

I'm looking for the best way to restore and prolong the life of my Convertible top. It's black , are their any shops that clean them or paint them. or way that I can do that myself ?

Honestly, I've seen sem trim black used to paint the tops on auction cars to "improve" the look. If you clean it with regular grease and wax remover very well, the paint has the potential to look good for a while. If your plan is to replace the top eventually, you don't have much to lose by trim blacking it.

Ya, I used to work with my dad on weekends doing glass/trim/tops.. and we would go to manheim auto auction and paint the convertible tops on the hertz rental cars that they were going to auction off, we would do hundreds at a time.. I dont know about the longevity of it though... Call my dad (Dan Wright - 734-558-4673) He still does side work on evenings and weekends..
