Restaurants in the 6/mound area or within 5 miles or so

GF's bday is Thursday and I am suprising her by having my buddy drop her off at a local restaurant because that's where she works but I'm having no luck just blindly searching...anyone know of anything within 5 miles or so of there that is good...talking like a TGIF, Ruby Tuesdays, some kinda steakhouse, olive garden, whatever...just somewhere we can eat and I can have her open her sweet ass gift! lol

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

lol no...she works at a machining company...I just need a restaurant in the area to take her to on her lunch break.
 
You'll need to get quite a bit north of 8 mile before you find anything like TGIF's or Ruby Tuesdays. Just aint crap around 6 and mound unless Popeyes, White Castle or Churchs will do. Could shoot over to Hamtramck to the original Buddys for Pizza or one of the local polish restuarants. Some of the strip clubs, like Players, have great food, if she'll go for that. Other than that, everything along 8 mile is fast food. Olive Garden is at 9 1/2 and Gratiot or 12 1/2 and Vandyke.

Hrmmm so are there any good places on 8, 9, or 10 mile between Ryan and Van Dyke say?

Louie's just past 9 mile on Dequindre, it's the closest thing to a real restaurant I can think of in that area.
It's supposed to have great Italian food but I haven't been there in about 10 years.
 
Once you get north of 12 mi. and Van Dyke, you can find just about everything. There's an Olive Garden and Ruby T's/Applebees on the east side of Van Dyke right after 12 mile.

I thought ponderosa's went under but I might have to try that...I remember going to the one on like 16 and Gratiot or something like that back in the day. I know it was off 16 down that ways.

Is that the place where they use goat cheese on there pizza?
If so its pretty good. The inside looks like a scene out of Goodfellas

If you like Medertrainian food there is a place on 7 mile called Tigris Restaurant. its not much to look at but the serve great food
