Nice shots! Looks like the zoo tuckered him out.

I have been meaning to take my two girls down there, is it nicer than the detroit zoo like I have always heard??
 
I like the Detroit Zoo. I'd say they both have pros and cons. It was SERIOUSLY white trashy down there. Not that the Detroit Zoo crowd is perfect, but this seemed worse.

the toledo zoo is a very nice local attraction. nice to see my homie down here in my hood.........:thumbsup:

sadly though, the zoo is in an area of toledo that's been rapidly declining for years.

gotta say though, that's a damn cute kid ya got there mike.
 
I would say that I think the Toledo Zoo was CLEANER than the Detroit Zoo. And they are doing a lot of additions/renovations. Which limits what you can see now, but should be nice by next year.

Yeah, I was surprised at the drive in, how rundown it was. I guess it's the Detroit Decay spreading south? I would have thought some of that riverfront property would be worth money?

And thanks, he's a handsome little dude for sure!
 
also, this was my first time at the zoo this early in the year and on a weekday. Both of these things made for a much better experience. No lines, no oppressive heat, etc. Do both of these things to enhance your zoo experience!

Fiance' and I have been wanting to go down there. been to the Detroit zoo about 3 times now...

Do they give an ET for when the remodels will be done
 
We love it there. I have to renew by 5-15 we get the family pass for a year for $60 you can't beat it !! Oh yeah your baby is a cute little guy !!
 
I almost went to the toledo zoo yesterday, insteaded I ended up going to the Colombus zoo. It is supposdly one of the best zoo's in the country. It was huge and pretty nice. Id go back.


Oh and I was wearing a Texas Longhorns shirt and about 5 guys had somthing to say about it LOL. Hardcore OSU football down there.
