removing smog on fox mustang

I am planning on removing the smog equip on my supercharged car. How hard is it to remove the crossover tube and plug the holes in the back of the cylinder heads? Also, what did you use to plug the whole on the h-pipe? Everything else is pretty easy.

well if you want to run the same belt size, order a delete pulley online. thats what i did. you can keep the tube on the back of the heads and plug the fitting to the smog pump with a cap or something, or you can plug them with "thermactor plugs". i believe you can get them ordered at a ford dealership or order them online. as for the fitting on the h pipe, i used a piece of hose with two clamps, one end clamps to the fitting, the other end clamps to a bolt that has the circumference of the hose. blocks it off completely... good enough for me!

Sorry, should have explained better. Car has no a/c or p/s. Going to move the alternator to where the a/c was. So a delete pulley will not work.

make sure you use thread locker on those plugs, you dont want exhaust gasses escaping out of those holes. you can also use a bolt that can just screw right into the hole. i have a bolt that starts off the same size and then gets one size bigger towars the end, that way it blocks the threads off.

I plugged the heads w/bolts as outlined above, and I also did the same tube/bolt/clamps "trick". Works perfectly.
