Remote Start/Alarm gurus

Need help programming the lock/unlock function on my mom's car. We had Dukes install the remote start but they wanted something like $75 to program the remotes to work with the unlock/lock feature. I don't even give a shit if it enables and disables the factory alarm. I just want the lock/unlock to work.

Before anyone goes "Just look up the manual!" I will say I did and Audiovoxs site says nothing about programming for the lock/unlock. Only how to get remotes to recognize the vehicle. Not to actually program the lock/unlock buttons.

I'm sure the $75 was not to program the remotes because that takes 2 seconds. They probably didn't hook up the door lock outputs from the unit to a seperat door lock relay pack that taps into the existing wiring for the door locks. Most of the remote start/alarm units done have high current relays installed in them to drive the door actuators so you need to buy a seperate door lock relay.

Ya your gonna have to hook up the module to the lock unlock wiring of the car.

most kits u have to install relays and do some programing to get lock and unlock to work and in some newer cars a bypass is needed to get the factory alarm to not go off every time u lock or unlock the car

i just looked up your system and u will have to build a relay pack for sure most of the lower end brands are like this

I actually programmed the remotes to "lock" and "unlock". The lights flash like they normally would but nothing happens. Means I'm on the right track in my eyes. Maybe it isn't hooked up. I'll have to wait until a warmer day so I can crawl under the dash.
