Here are some additional photos I took of the car after it got towed from the scene :(

As I said before though, I'm just thankful that I was able to walk away from it.

i have to ask. where's the engine going?

That's up to the insurance company. They'll probably sell the car for $500 or less to a scrap yard and the yard will part it out and get good $$$ for it.

Rick is only allowed to take small, personable self installed items out of the vehicle. Like the cold air intake, possibly a stereo (if not factory) and like a short throw shifter.

I'm sure it will be sold for more than $500.... I'm going to see what they want, but I bet it'll be at least $5,000 and from what I hear, until I settle with the insurance company and accept their offer and get the check in my hands, it's still my car and as log as I have the factory parts to replace the aftermarket stuff, I can take what I want.

After looking those pics over i'm shocked that you weren't seriously hurt. You got lucky it could've been much much worse.

I agree... that door bar and the air bags are what saved me IMO. As bad as it sounds, after seeing how well it stood up to the impact I'm almost glad I was in that rather than my Explorer, because it's hard to believe it would have held up that well and could have possibly flipped seeing that it sits higher than the Vette.

20% of the agreed payoff value. If you accept and buyback they will hose you on the sale tax portion of the settlement as well.

That looks to be a BAD hit.
Hate to see pictures like that though

looks like a pretty slow hit to me, just tore panels off and swayed the front end over some. let me know info on buying the car back... i may have someone interested if its a reasonable price.
