red top Optima batteries dead or not?

Is dead from sitting these last couple months.

Once these gel filled batteries die, can you charge them back to life or are they junk?

Been sitting in a barn all winter, the last time I started that vehicle was.... early January, 2013.

try it.... juice it on 12v high for 15-20 mins, then let it charge on medium for a half hour, then do an hour on low and see where it gets you. I have brought conventional batteries back to life that had a dead cell by using this procedure. I just did it to a motorcycle battery that showed 0 volts
 
You near the downriver area? I have the proper charger for the AGM if you wanted to borrow it. It's saved me a few times from throwing out an otherwise dead optima.
 
Over the weekend I just noticed that my trickle charger came loose on my Red Top and the battery had no power at all. I've got this Battery Charger made by Optima images.jpg

I left it plugged in overnight and now it's showing 100% charged. We'll see if it hurt anything when I pull the car out of storage.

Can i rent it for a night?
 
i read you can charge them in sequence with another battery. hook jumper cables between the two, and trickle charge the non optima battery.........
