Rebuilding the coupe!

Will this car be making some passes today?

Damn, I wish... It is ready though, besides the front end alignment. I'll drag it into work this week and get that done, but other than that I'm going to call it complete (again!!). I was actually just outside warming it up a bit, and took a few pictures in the sunlight.

Again, a HUGE thanks to all that helped. I'm sure I'll forget someone, but you know who you are! Mike at Dick's Body Shop, you are the man. Dave at Team Z, Hangemhigh, Pwraddr, Jeff at JR Racecraft, Mark Motsinger, Jeff Aseltine, John Slagle, and my extremely tolerant wife Sheri, thank you all!

Looks great joep! Didn't you have it a little lower in the rear prior?

Awesome job!

When I first finished it last year I had it lower, but raised it slightly to move the instant center point further forward in the chassis. I have it set around 40 inches out right now, but may lower it a tad more to shorten the IC to the mid 30's(Dave said it will work best somewhere around there). The tires have a bunch of air in them right now too, so it may look higher.

Thanks, I can't wait to get testing!

It looks awesome again...Does the hood pivot on the support of the cowl? Very trick...

Thanks! Yes, the hood has "hooks" underneath that allow it to pivot on the support hoop when opened so I don't have to lift it off every time. Here's a better picture from when I built it originally. The brackets are tapped for thumbscrews that lock the hood onto the hoop.
