Rear end noise

8.8 ford rear seems noisey when I go around corners. I have noticed it before but only slightly. I did put steeda upper and lower control arms on it. Is there a problem a fluid replacement would cure? Am I just hearing more noise due to the control arms being new/more solid and transfering more sound.

Very unlikely a fluid change will reduce any noise....unless your diff is leaking and the fluid is very low. What kind of diff do you have??

You would only get slightly more road noise if the control arms have solid joints at both ends, but I think the Steeda's are poly??

The rear diff is stock.

Pull the cover & have a look.
I didnt when I had a noise. & I blew up my carrier, ring gear, pinion, axles. cover had a little hole in it.

X2 check it out.....If you have any excessive play in the lash you will blow it up one day.....I would, or have some lash it and make sure your spacers are correct.

if its only when going around corners is likely a posi or trac loc( which ever u preffer to call it) problem
