Real Estate / Construction Attorney

We're having issues with our builder not honoring his warranty, and are seeking a consultation with an attorney to see how strong our case is. I know we're right in this, but that doesn't necessarily mean we'd emerge victorious if we were to pursue.

Anyone have a contact that specializes in this area?

Thanks!

I think what you're looking for is a Attorney that specializes in "contract law".

I agree, I would look for one who has dealt specifically with builders.

Most will give you a free 30 min. first consultation. I hope this works out.

Good call - yes, it'd be contract law. We'd want someone who is experienced with construction to understand how strong our case is.

File a complaint with the city/township and then they'll send out an inspector and look at every single thing instead of just rubber-stamping it like they usually do for contractors. It will cause the builder some misery and will likely cause them to buck up.

I can try that route - home is complete. Within 6 months of living there, the hardwood flooring (over 2k sq ft of it) is buckling and coming up. Not a little, I am talking every room in the house. Won't get into the details on why I feel it's a warranty item - it boils down to improper installation.

I second this.
