Well I rattled canned it when I bought it but I was never happy with the results. I picked up a bullshit gravity-spray gun from Harbour Freight a while back and I forgot I had it until the other day. I did a little sanding on top of the paint that was already on there and re-sprayed it. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. :D

I also rattle canned the shock towers before. It wasn't glossy enough so I decided to fill in some of the un-used holes and I'm going to re-spray again with the gun.

came out good. gotta love these little projects that make the car look sooo much better. My gf was asking me the other day why i was painting everything under the hood as I was putting my car back together...she doesnt understand

I agree it is the small little details.

I love to hear when someone sees under my hood and says something like my one buddy did... "It just looks so clean and simple under there" He is not a car guy, but still I put a lot of work into making it look so clean and nice under there. That was point.

Nice job on the intake

Looks good! It's def. the small things that make a really noticable difference!
I was amazed at the difference painting just my LS6 intake and the brake booster gloss black instead of that blah looking matte finish they both have...

Dam you! You got me thinking about my booster now.... It is all apart still......

Thanks for all the comments guys!

What do you think for the "FAST" part. Last year I did the outline in black paint marker. Should I do that again this year and clear over it? Or leave it?

well if you wanna get even more fancy, i had all my headlight brackets painted gloss black as well! :D

Im glad to know im not the only one who wants to paint/powder coat every little bracket on my car :gr_jest:. If I wasnt inching to get my car out Kyle @ dynasty would be making a killing off me lol.

Something that contrasts it yet goes with the color scheme of your car would look great I think!

You're not alone on the details! You are talking to king of OCD right here  , I tore apart my last dirt bike and had the frame/wheels/hubs/spring/foot pegs/ literally everything powder coated yellow or black. When I had my engine bay painted I just kept taking more and more parts over to the painters house
