In the classic era it seemed normal to walk into an arcade and find a steering wheel attached to an arcade cabinet. Which treasured racing gaming experiences, cabinet, console or PC, can you recall from the pre Gran Turismo days?:icon_bigg

The Top Gear series for SNES was always a favorite of mine. On Genesis, Outrun was pretty awesome. There was also Rock n Roll Racing for SNES, probably one of the best racing games for the system.

I love arcade games and have 7 currently... I need a larger basement! These are two that I enjoyed playing in the arcades when I was younger.

Not a racing game, but this was always one of my favorites back in the day. I probably plunked enough quarters into it to buy my own

Off Road was the best.. Now Im into dune buggies and my Hummer gets abused!!

RC Pro Am was awesome.... we then started racing R/C cars every weekend!

Excitebike still awesome... now I have a dirtbike!

Glad I wasnt that into Tyson's Punch Out or I'd be a UFC fighter.

Glad I sucked at Mario brothers or I'd be a turtle smashing plumber.

:)

My game was always Street Fighter. I used to clean house in the tournaments at the local video store back when I was a kid. Everybody bringing in their $100 fight sticks and I'd stomp em in the ground with a regular old SNES controller. Won a bunch of stuff. The final always came down to me and a good friend of mine
