No, the body is clear, you paint them from the inside with special paint. So you could paint it black if you wanted to. The last pic shows this.

I painted a slot car body similar to this one, I put yellow paint in the middle then taped it to the spinner in the washing machine. The paint spread out on the car, then I painted the rest of it orange. It looked great.
