Quiet exhaust system for LS-1 GTO

Any suggestions on a system that would give a reasonable gain in power while being as quiet as possible. I was thinking headers, high flow cats with the stock cat back, anyone know if that would give any power in an otherwise stock LS-1 GTO?

For fbody's the hooker cat back was always among the best flowing and also more toward the quieter side compared to others. Sounds real good with gutted/no cats or headers. If they make one for a gto I'd look into it.

Stock exhuast, high flow cats and headers is about as close as you will get. typically at cruise speeds the corsa exhuast doesn;t reonate as much and it isn't as noticeable becuase of that. Typically speaking.

Any exhaust is going to wake up this car considerably. I just put a catback on mine a couple of weeks ago, and it's considerably louder now.

If you go headers, and want quiet, keep your OEM catback. I've heard quite a few 04s with headers (with and without cats), and it will be much louder.

If you want power obviously go for headers & mids, but retain the stock catback. Stock it sounds pretty damn nice as it is.
