I just changed the valve cover gaskets on my 94 Yukon. The oil pressure used to drop down to 25 when the brake is applied at idle. Now its reading at a constant 60 regardless of idle or acceleration... Is this normal?

Did you bump the sending unit removing the covers ?It is right behind the driver side head on the back of the motor.

My 94 suburban did the same thing every oil change, Even with a new sending unit it didn't change...

The gas gauge aslo has some wacky shit, it would drop drasticly when you stopped then shoot back up when you took off...

I had the tank out three or four timkes fuckign wiht diffrent sending units and conditioners, floats etc...

It didnt change.. 94 was a shity year for those bodies, worst ABS system in history, totaly pigs for power and so forth...

If the top ends not clatterying away you have oil pressure, if it got higher when you changed the oil, then its prob not a big deal..

I'm willing to bet in a few thousand miles it will start doing it again, and will prominate worse as it warms up, then you'll change the oil again and it'll start all over again.

I might of slightly bumped, but nothing major
