Hmm that sounds like a mess. You got your money back already? How did you pay? Private seller or company? Ups will pay you if the seller signs off. They will only pay $200 though. If it was me I would call the seller and try to work it out. People tend to be reasonible when confronted on issues. Just be calm and hear him out. It is the sellers mess up for not insuring it. The thing about paypal and verified shipping is bullshit. Buyers can also dispute due to not as recieved. If it is from ebay you can return it no matter what!

All of this just reminded me to call them again and they just let me know that because he did not get a signiture on delivery even though he had tracking #'s he will be declined the payment and I was refunded 100% and wont be charged again while still having his parts( I will send them back but dont have to per palpal). Lesson learned here get coverage for the full amount if you sell, get a signiture and follow all of paypals rules

Glad it worked out for you. Seller sounds stupid. I would have insured it for 1200 and packed it right!!

yeah he wrapped it in bubble wrap about 3 times and it was loosely packed with some other stuff

Paypal has no business saying that you don't have to send it back because legally if you were made whole the crank doesn't belong to you.
