Ok well I have the 1964.5 mustang project car that was posted here. I plan on putting a 351w in it and not factory but dont plan on going crazy. Someone told me I should full frame the car and subframe connectors wouldnt be enough. Dont know how much power it will be or anything I never built a 351w so maybe you guys can shine some light on that for me too. Also would anyone think it would need a cage will be a auto car good converter unknown size of stall. I know there is alot of variables to go threw but just wondering. thanks

you shouldnt have a problem with no subframe connectors at all... as long as you arent racing it.. what are your intention for the car? cruiser? racer? dont get me wrong, with no frame bracing you WILL have body flex. not a ton. but it will be there.. is it a convertible???

plans for the car will be WHEN its done a cruiser but will take it to the track im sure here and there my son loves drag racing now and sure when the cars done he will even love it more. and its not a vert a good old coupe

I would tie it, you can't really lose anything by doing it. It will handle better and feel like a new car. You may want to contact one of our sponsors on here and see what they can do for you.

Back in the day my old man had a few and they all suffered from twisted frames. He was only building 350 rwhp engines at the time and they would tear the floor up.

ok so atleast tie the frame but he was saying I should run a full frame front to back and up over rear axle I just thought that might be too much. But now after my brother in law stopping by he said I might want to cage it also since he said a 351w with ok heads will probably run 11.50 but what do you all think.
thanks
