again, were yours chrome? no.... i'm willing to give this a shot if someone has a blaster. if not i will just off em on crapslist and forget it:mad:

ok i had a set "chrome" Z28 wheels for my 92, i had media blasted and painted white i had no probs with them

i will say this and give a warring,

if your going to have aluminum wheels blasted you better be getting them re-chromed/painted soon.

You only have a small window before they start to corrode, then you will have to have then re-blasted or the coating will not stick properly

Chrome wheels that the chrome is not broken or cracked can be blasted (etched) and then powdercoated. If you are tring to get the chrome off of a wheel it will be very difficult. Sand blasting will more then likely not work well. You will have to find some sort of media. I know a guy over here that does it.

i'm just looking to get the peeling shit off and the surface paintable at this time, i have given up on the whole powder coat due to $$. i'm painting them black anyways and at this point i'm really not being picky as to what the surface looks like.

i have to work with what i got here guys, so like i said, if you have a sandblaster and want to make some money let me know. i'm not looking to spend $50/ wheel at this time. i just want the surface paintable!
