question about foxbody seatbelts

I know you can upgrade your 89 and older fox body to newer 90 and up foxbody seat belts. my question is can you put the 79-89 lap belts in a 93 notchback?

I know its a weird question, but can i put just lap belts in my 93 notch? if so how/where do they mount and do i need a different rear seat to do this?

I recently put a rear seat delete in the car and a new package tray, took the belts out and the package tray deletes the over the shoulder retractors that mounts in the rear package tray area. if i ever wanted to put a rear seat back in could i just add lap belts? and keep my rear package tray delete and not use the over the shoulder seat belts?

thanks

I don't see why not. I put a 3 point rear from a 93 in my 86 for my daughter. The lower's mounted in the same location but I just had to weld in a mount point for the shoulder mount. So you didn't want one of Vitos $500 rear seats, lol

So I could buy 86 lap belts n they just mount to the floor in my 93? Need diff seats to get them to work tho?

And not thanks on paying 500 for a seat regardless O
How rare they are lol

I don't know on a notch, or about the seat of a notch as mine is a hb. On mine the 93's used the same exact mount points as my old 86's for the two lower mounts without issue. Now the belts for the front seats were definitely different where the shoulder strap mounted behind the interior rear quarter panel.

You will have to drill holes for the belt, the one that takes the place of the retractor. The buckle will go where the factory one was. You can drill through the floor and use washers or weld a plate and nut to the inner rocker, this can be done at the floor also. If you need this done I am on Clawson and can do it for you.
