quad shock

I have a set of mickey thompson 255 dragradials and of course they wont fit on my fox body can i take out the quad shock and run with stock contol arms? or do i have to get aftermarket control arms
 
its best to remove them and see if wheel hop is bearable.

i removed mine way back when i still had stock control arms and wheel hop was out of control.
 
id have to agree, chances are your stock control arm bushings are wasted as it is and wheel hop will get much worse if you remove the quad shocks.
 
try flipping them around. Put the "big" end on the lower bolt, and the shaft up.

you will be surprised how much you can agin by flipping them.
and yeah, you will get insane wheel hop with them, the factoy lowers have an eliptical bushing to allow the rear to move, without the quads in place it will hop.
 
mine are taken out and i have no problem with wheel hop at all... i have stock control arms with drag springs and shocks... try taking them out... its only a couple bolts... it it doesnt work then put them back in or something else
 
took the quads out put the mickeys on and im having no big wheel hop problems so it worked i will eventually get aftermarket upper and lowers but for now ill do without
