I bought a used k member and i think it is a qa1(was told it was a aje) it bolted up fine but the steering shaft is too short now by like an inch anyone else have that problem?

Yep....do you have a Flaming River shaft or factory? You can go on Summits site and buy a length of the D steel and cut what you need if you have a FR already...if not you need to buy one.

Let me know...I have a FR that I will sell you or the piece of metal....

its just the stock shaft but iam going to put a manual rack on so your saying the Flaming River shaft is longer?? and what do you want for yours

Mine was short too. Just pull on the end of the shaft (enter joke here) coming from the fire wall. The stock stuff will reach fine.

HI I just put a qai system under my capri and had a lot of problems pop up. For a bolt on system Sure was a pain.I Have the same problem. I am going to make mine. I also am putting a flaming river manual rack under mine this wk.I live in Brooklyn Mi so we are not that far a part. Give me a call 592-9076
