where did you get the 6.40" pushrod from?
where did you get the 6.40" pushrod from?
its been awhile since I played with a 302 but I could have sworn a stock pushrod was 6.25" but those heads may require a 6.4. only way to know is to rotate the engine and make sure the roller stays centered on the valve the entire time.
From what I could tell from looking at it while spinning it, it stayed on the valve through the entire rotation of both intake and exhaust. I do know that they are longer than stock.
you positive the camshaft is installed correct? did you advance it at all?
staying on the valve and staying on the center are 2 different things. Im sure its fine but just make sure or you will be taking the heads off and replacing the guides.(ive made the mistake before so I speak from expierance)
You said you got this kit from guy..Did he have it running???
.080 min on the intake, .100 min on the ex. you will have to fly cut the pistons if you only have .050 on the intake.
I know that .080 is the min, I am just thinking that I may have done something wrong, like with the adjusting of the rocker, that may give it a lower reading which is why I need the help. I am pretty much in a position to not strip the motor down to have the pistons cut.
Yeah and get the damn car out of my driveway!!!! Cmon guys give him a chance
just kidding Dave
