Just piling up parts, gotta get the car turned around on the lift so we can drop the motor out, but first going to pull the rear end and gas tank so we can swap gearsets and sump the tank.

Even if your car was done first I would still have another 3 years to finish mine to break even with you.

Lol. Not my fault I was trying to save $$$ for another house...... WHICH i have now :) I had it running and out end of 2011. Then someone bought my entire drive train. Now like I said I have a new house so car is once again priority #1

coming from the guy who has an 8 year project that still isnt done.. that doesnt mean much.. :owned::slap::slap:
 
turbo kit is off Mike's car and here now so more stuff to pile up next to the car. Turbine housing was getting surface rust so I tore it apart and cleaned it up and coated lightly with wd-40 for now. Probably our biggest limiting factor of this build right here.

Well not a lot of progress but enough to where we can start cleaning underneath the car in anticipation for parts to start going back in, once the rear is back under it we will pull the motor.

Ive got a set of Manley valves (2.02"intake and stock exhaust if I recall correct) and I belive my buddys shop still has an extra set of heads for that 5.3l get at me if you might be intrested.

find out the casting number for the heads, we may be interested but I'll be honest only if they are dirt cheap. Already spending more money on this junkyard motor than I wanted to.

I hear ya,
They are 862 heads
NIB valves (man-11361-8 1.550" and man-11362-8 2.020")
Shop has got them now, ill be dropping the vlaves off tomorrow and he will be cleaning and opening the intake to accept the 2.020".
Id be happy with $400 out of them, but Im sure Id eventually use them if I kept on to them long enough.
Im just not a fan of kicking stuff around so let me know what you�d be interested in them for.
Either way, they have been sitting at the shop for way too long as I decide what to do with them, so might as well get them machined.
