In the last couple weeks I sold the 289, got the shock towers and factory cross member cut out and the Mustang II stuff from RC Motorsports welded in. The new engine now bolts in the car, so it really is the 4 cam torino now, a non running 4 cam Torino but a 4 cam torino nonetheless.
Engine bay starting point.
Bye bye
New stuff going into place
Motor mounts came as a few pieces in the kit, the flate plate needed a little clearancing for the block
Test fitting things
Engine bolted in
Quite a bit of room to the cross member but the pan is close to the rack and about level with the bottom of the cross member. As low as I feel comfortable with. It'll get driven a lot and I definitely don't want the pan to be the first thing that would bottom out.
Obviously there's some clean up and painting to do once everything is fit together.
