Project: Phat a$$ superman09's '99 Vette

Car was just repainted tonight. Kevin wasn't 100% satisfied with the blend so he just decided to re-do it. I don't mind and admire that he will only let the car leave perfect, how it should be! Although the wait is killing me, lol! Should be completed here shortly! I plan on being at Milan next saturday to make some passes.
 
We had some issues actually getting more paint which is the root of the wait. Ended up having to go to a new supplier after the first basically jerked us around and wasn't getting it!
 
Yes they stopped selling ppg. I herd from the rumor mill ppg stopped distributing to the I guess you could say. Any truth to this??
 
Beats me, all I know is they couldn't get us the paint. They said they were getting it and a week went by and nothing, then after checking they told Kevin they still wouldn't have it by the following weekend so we went elsewhere.
 
I cant say alot about whats going on there, but YES ,getting PPG or 3M products from them are difficult to say the least right now! I can say it isn't 3M or PPG's fault why their shelves are bare.

BTW: That Vett is looking killer.
 
Yeah, it was auto color. They kinda bone'd me on the first mix. The blend looked fine but the color from the fender to the quarter was noticably different. Went in myself and picked out a new variant got it from painters supply and just re-shot it Thursday night.

Car was back home last night. Drove it to work today and plan on being at the track on Saturday if the weather holds out. Needs a final wetsand and buff once I am done having some fun with it. Paint came out VERY nice! Thanks Kevin!
 
Here are some finished pics! I drove the car to work all week and it rained about everyday! I haven't had a chance to get it all cleaned up until today for some good pics so here they are!
Took the car to Milan last night as well and it went 11.0 @ 128 3 passes in a row, so close to the 10s!

haha thanks! I was on reserve fuel so I had to call it a night.... I had to make it to a gas station so I could make it home, lol
