I picked up this 99 V6 atuomatic last week because I couldn't pass it up for the price. I really have no idea what direction I'm going with it at this time do to not having expendable income. I've been wanting to build a New Edge Mustang for awhile now so I had to grab it. First thought is LS turbo but also thought a Grand National drivetrain would be different. As of this time I'm gonna try to just getting it to look better and cruise it around until I financially able to step it up. It's really a blank canvas, so any and all ideas would be great. 99Vert.JPG

A Fuel injected GM 5.3 with matching auto trans would be cool for street driving. Might have to swap in an 8.8 rear end? Dunno if the 6ers had em? Do a converter, gear, and some bolt ons and it would probably be a peppy street machine.

3.8 Super coupe T-bird swap! Trying to finish up one in my sons 85 Mustang that had the 3.8 in it. Be a fun little ride when done

Thanks everyone for the ideas, keep them coming! I did think about turboing the stock set up and if I blew it up I figured I could always find another stock motor pretty cheap. It's gonna come down to the most cost effective path. I already have a fox body 8.8 it which is 3/4" shorter per side so that'll tuck the tires in nicely

Well I picked up a few things on the list and still looking for a few more, of course these need some paint but still time for that. Still need a hood and a rear fascia now

Well did all new brakes on the front since it had a bad caliper. Did some new pads on the rear too since it was up on stands. New rims and tires on it. Working on cleaning it up and getting the front fascia on. Needed to pick up a header panel and straighten the bumper support. Not bad for a total of $1400 with the new front fascia, brakes, rims and tires. Body is really clean but the interior is in need of attention.

Theres a 99-04 Mustang at the parts Galore on Warren & Liverniose.......don`t remember whats good on it tho.....the color is Fire red metalic.

Swap a coyote in it.

I might be able to help a little. I know of a coyote going in a white 08gtcs ;-) warranty is gone!

Coyote would be great! But how about a 3.5 Ecoboost? Find a wrecked F150 for the RWD block... Sure would be different!

Ive been wanting to see a Stang with the 3.5 EcoBoost swap...I have not seen it...I know it was mentioned, I figured someone would think of it....HOWEVER if you don't have a lot of extra money (that swap i can only imagine would be EXPENSIVE) I would stay 6 banger... everyone goes V-8.......yeah, maybe just turbo the current engine......Or even a supercharger.....It wouldn't be the fastest thing on 4 wheels, but it would be very fun little convetable, and would surprise everyone!!
