For those of you who don't know the back story on this car I'll give you the rundown. This car my dad purchased brand new in 1978 with 4 miles on it. This is the very car that I was brought home from the hospital in when I was born. It the early 80's my dad was side swiped on Congress St. in Detroit by an owner of a fur coat store who begged my dad not to call the police and that he would take care of everything just bring him the estimate. Once my dad got the estimate together he went to see the guy who acted like he had no idea what he was talking about. That was a had lessoned learned and my dad paid for it. Over the first year after the accident he purchased all the parts from GM to fix the car but was never able to get it painted. So the car sat in storage with 22,000 original miles till yesterday. My dad has been batteling cancer for 3 years now and he realized that he could never finish the car. So he called me and asked if I wanted it so I could possibly finish it. I picked it up yesterday and brought it to my garage. It needs a few small parts and some new door panles but I think what botheres me the most is that the car was undercoated and that stuff is on everything. Here are some pictures from bringing it home last night.

Man I love these things. I hate that I had to sell mine. Good luck with it, it looks like a solid car.

That's an awesome story, and nice car!! The 77-78's are my favorites(not that I'm biased 'cause I own one LOL). Good luck with the project.

Looks very solid, side swipe damage doesn't look to bad either. If you plan on have the car painted, go base/clear and have the car dis-assembled for paint, to nice of a car to have paint lines

That is really cool. What engine is it?

Got a picture of it?

Trust me when I say this car is going to get done right. I have waited this long for the car I can wait a little longer for it to be done right.

Here's my '77 T/A, Pontiac 400, TH350 auto, 3.42 axle. 62K miles, non a/c, no option car. Just a nice, stock cruiser.

You cant bring a blue trans am on the bandit run....might as well bring a mustang

In the the video from last year they had one blue one. Plus there were a ton of 3rd and 4th gens which I think have no right being there.

yea I hate to say it but it might be worth more Black with SE trim clone

Maybe, but it will never be that way. I have read about so many people doing that an it just makes me shake my head that people are that dense.
