hmmm, indy is only like 5 hours from here. itd be kinda cool to do Indy to Muskegon then back to Detroit

Hmmmmmmm, that has been on my list of car things to do.
I might start planning on that. Might be fun taking some time driving down balls out, then cruising back.

This has long weekend written all over it... :) Convertible weather in june... Unless it MONSOOOONS like it did a few years ago on the cleveland to Monroe to K-Zoo stretch... hahaha that was some fun rain. 5 mile stretch of hot rods cruising through Dundee. Hydroplaning on road race tires, leaky rag top mustang... ah memories.

That's kind of what I was thinking. I mean, if a bunch of people are planning on long hauling I'm down to do the whole thing. If not I'll probably pick it up in Indy.

Starting in your town is way better than ending in your town. If it ends in your town you have to take a day off work to get to the beginning as it is a 1000+ mile drive to the start. If it starts in your town you end 1000+ miles away but you esentially have the whole weekend to drive back.

The word from the long haul ceremony in 2010 was that 2011 would end in Detroit and 2012 would start in Detroit. So hopefully 2012 really does start here as that is the ideal situation if you want to long haul.

Hopefully 2012 really starts in Detroit and makes a stop in Bristol. Bristol rocks :) Most NASCAR tracks are kind of lame to lollygag around in a street car on. But on a track as short as Bristol with a pace car that rolls at 85 if you hang back you can run a lap at WOT, it's a pretty huge rush hitting that huge bank at 100+ and not lifting. A feeling like no other.

One of these years i want to do the long haul. Met up the last time a couple years ago when they rolled into metro beach. Had a blast!

I will go on a portion of it... whether I start in Nashville or Indy is the decision.

My plan is to do Drag Week so I won't be able to swing both.
