Power Tour 2009 Day One pictures

Nice! Looks like a good time! I have GOT to do the tour one of these years. Maybe if I ever build my Ultima. Or just take the Camaro since it is so bulletproof! ;)

Great pics guys. Looks like engine swaps are becoming the norm.

Like everyone else who's still at home this week... one day I'd like to do the Power Tour. (And One Lap of America.)

It was pretty funny when Brad and Kenny and I were going to check out an old school charger and were dissappointed to see it had a new 6.1 it  There are so many sweet swaps.

I talked to a guy today who has a pretty dope first gen camaro with a ls1/6 speed. He said no one even looked at his car until he lost control in some water on the road and scraped it along a metal pole doing 5,500 worth of damage. Now everyone is checking it out!

I like this one. It's me giving advice to Brad before he runs the road course.....

It was cool seeing guys flog their babies, but most of them played it pretty close to the vest. It was pretty obvious that Brad new what he was doing!!

nice tires

It's not easy to see in the pic(even when you go to the huge original size), but the welds on the tubing in the impala were awesome! He said he's a toolmaker and even welds, but this was done by a fab guy in Jersey because his work is top notch. It was very nice!

I had Kenny take the bottom pic because I knew Motown Mustang would dig it

HAHA, thanks for the sweet deal on those. You saw the old front Goodyears. I have drive in the rain every day so far. That would have been bad news on those worn out Goodyears.

My Monday album:

There's a sub album in that from the Studebaker museum, that is on like pic 16 of 81 of the upload. I started the upload of the Tour pics before we went to that. There was clearly no one on the hotel internet at that time because those flew. The Studebaker pics are uploading slow though, everyone is in their rooms for the night and surfing, or uploading their own pics.

I said that for the last 8 years. There was no way I was skipping on a year with a short drive to the starting point and a reasonable drive home with a stop at home in the middle after all the previous years of making excuses not to go.

I know the guy that built that car (Jeff Schwartz)! And the guy that commissioned it (Grant) with his brother. Jeff's TT Ultima (Yellow) is on the tour as is his son's 3rd Gen T/A with red C5 wheels on it. If you talk to Grant he's a funny dude.
