Looking into buying a new block for my car. A4, R302 or Boss 302. I just got my motor rebuilt couple month ago and now I'm worry that the stock block split on me. I do have good parts in it now. Eagle crank, rods and pistons. So now I wanted to get a better block for it. If anyone knows were I can order an A4 block please let me know. Which block is better? I heard that the Boss block have an over heat problem as for the R302 I don't know that much about it. What you guys think are better? Thanks

LS motors are cool. but don't think the 5.0 (302) is a slouch. Check out this thread on Corral.net some pretty basic combo going 10's with stock short block motors just H/C/I swaps.

Not bashing any LS cars but for the same amount of $ your going to spend on a Z06 motor used and then switch it to carb, you can build a pretty bad ass SBF, or SBC, BBC, BBF. And don't Forget at a certain point the Stock block etc. is not going to take the HP and that goes for Ford mod and Chevy LS motors. To be honest if I was looking for bang for the buck I would probably put a BBC in a mustang you can find good used racing parts for them anywhere.

Ultimately it comes down to is how you want to spend your $ and what your goals are.

Just finlish wiring up my 30-4900 AEM Failsafe gauge last week. This gauge are cool, I can adjust the failsafe to trigger when it running lean or too rich, it will shut the engine down when trigger, very cool stuff.

By the way thanks everyone for posting your Mustang. All you guys have some bad ass STANG.

WE? You have a mouse in your pocket? YOU won't race me, last time you did you sprayed us and we were on motor and whooped your ass for 500, poor impala. Your old car, that was a z06 motor with more compression and more cubes than a 427, actually 429 that HAS NITROUS on it. I have an LS3 in my car ALL MOTOR and i asked for the leave, yes. And it is EFI, 60 hp down from a carb car. Guess what, i asked Lucas to race this year, and i have a smaller motor and wanted no part me on motor and he on nitrous.

I thought you had a LS3 in your car Leo ??? and you guys talk about me cheating ...lol

My mustang is still running, and together.. would you like to race it? That is Lucas' motor from his vette... notice is has a 58mm reluctor, one my old ass computer won't connect with. Good try.
