Post pics of you Painted/Powder Coated Calipers....

I'm thinking of doing the calipers on my 300ZX since I'm tossing a set 350Z Track rotors 12.75" vs 11" and a bracket to move the caliper to accept the larger rotor. The last time I painted calipers, I used Dupli-color Caliper Paint...I was very unhappy.

I love the way Porsche Calipers look...glossy.

This is from an old car of mine. Daily drove it like this for almost 2 years and they held up perfectly. Did these with Duplicolor engine enamel, applied the vinyl decals, then cleared over it with Duplicolor high-temp clear. Rice or not, the red did look good on the silver car.

Just did these with the Duplicolor Caliper Paint, yes in red, this time only to match the Z06 brakes I have in the front (come from GM powdercoated red). Hopefully they hold up.

They have good gloss although it's hard to see it in the pics. The only way you're going to get them super glossy like on a Porsche is to smooth the caliper down a lot since it's a rough casting.

You can achieve the smooth gloss if you use the brush on ceramic coating, let it dry for a day, sand it back down with 240, then use a small spray gun and spray the brush on coating nice and thick

Redid a set of EVO Brembos with the duplicolor black high temp engine enamel then with their clearcoat and they came out looking smooth as a babys ass. Just scuffed em up real good before hand and set them infront of the torpedo heater for a while to get em nice and hot. sprayed it on nice and thick

sorry, I upgraded to ones that come in color. I had the pic so I posted it! the GS calipers are silver. they give you a brush in the duplicolor box, I got my kit from meijer-on sale, was going to paint my stockers but I got these first.

OnyxSSS - What size brake kit?

I got the spray at Meijer on sale .45 a can...maybe it was old paint? I bought 4 cans....

Anyone use any other products or kits? Duplicolors stuff is usually generic as hell. I need to do all four on my black Camaro in red and want it to last so I only have to do it once

theres a place in clawson that will rebuild and powdercoat calipers for 50-75 per caliper
