Finally got a hoist for the garage. Good friend of mine who owned his own garage was retiring and closing shop and I bought one of his hoists. I still need to frame in a cove in the ceiling so that I can raise the car up high enough to walk under it without crouching.

Not bad at all. It's used and was filthy, so I spent some time cleaning it up. Still have more cleaning and painting to go. When I wired it up I had to use a phase converter because it has a 3 phase motor. My ceiling height was already 9'6", and I had to cut 2 spots in the ceiling, 1 for the cable pulley to go through, and on the other side for the hydraulic cyl. to go through.
