Didn't get them yet. I bought them for computer speakers. I'm currently running a pair of the Insignia NS-B2111's everybody was raving about a decade back, but figured it was time for an upgrade.

Yeah I'm sure they're perfect for that. My desk is in my living room where I have Klipsch mains that I'm content with. Don't game or anything either so no real point in having separate computer speakers.

I briefly owned a set of those Insignias for a while too. I remember liking them just were too directional for the application I needed them for.

I have my Wharfedales in the basement along with my computer, but I don't like to crank them loud at night when my brother is sleeping. The JBLs should be great. The Insignias are very good for near field use, but they have a huge hole in the midrange. There are schematics out there to address the shortcomings of the crossover, but I'm not spending more on crossover components than I paid for the speakers.

I wanted to buy those JBLs but I have no use for them right now. I barely use my 5.1 Klipsch ProMedia speakers and dont even have my HT hooked up anymore.

WD red drive and 8gb of memory to build a NAS with a spare Optiplex 760 I had.

Whew, that's a lot of memory for a NAS. I have 14TB worth of storage on mine with 4GB of RAM installed, but I hardly ever see more than 1GB usage. If you're running FreeNAS, Solaris, or Open Indiana and plan on using ZFS, the RAM will be a godsend.

lol, I dont think I even have enough to fill this 2tb drive. My stuff is scattered across my mbp and desktop right now and wanted a project since I want to go into IT. Ill eventually buy more HDDs. This one is enough for me to get the system up and running and familiarize myself with freeNAS.

The ram was probably not needed seeing as the system already had 4gb but everything online said to have 8gb minimum.

FreeNAS is a very nice OS, you'll dig it. Which CPU is in that Dell? If it supports Intel VT-x, you can install something like Proxmox and have a killer virtual machine host. With that, you can tinker to your hearts desire with all of the various operating systems out there.

Its a Core 2 Duo. Im kinda pissed I sold the other Optiplex I had with an i5.
