It went off today, she said yes, it's all over
The story: we're both huge hockey fans, and she loves the Wings. I wanted to propose at center ice (not AT a game like others, and privately with just us two). I'm a Penguins fan, and they're in town today. I've been talking w/their coach for a couple months and he got us into their practice this morning as his guest so we could watch and I'd have my opportunity to do what I wanted. It all went down perfectly and I got to do it. I got to meet a few of the players and she even got her picture w/Chelios who came out to watch at one point too. She had no clue why we were there or how we got in, but as we walked out onto the ice I asked her if she was wondering how/why/etc. I started telling her about them helping us get there to be alone, and the next thing she knew - surprise!
