you do realize that MTD products make both the troybuilt and the craftsman

You look at any crapsman and put the equal Troy bilt next to it them use the two and see which one you prefer. They might make them both but the crapsman is a pile of fucking garage! My old mtd single 21" did better that the 5.5hp 24" 2 stage crapsman! Self propelled my ass, that pile of fuck bogs in 6-8" of snow! That ticket don't even make enough power to require the use of the sheer pins they give you. It would be a miracle if it broke one of those and if it did the pin prolly rotted out and that's why.

My dad has the 26" 208cc Troy bilt and that fucker machined right through all this snow we got last night/today. Took me less than hr too! I was at it fir 2hrs last night in the deep fluff snow and still didn't get it done with that paper wright craps man! / rant
Damn was I so pissed about that thing last night and today lol.

I've hada 20 ish year oldan 8-horse 24" Troy-Bilt for almost 13 years, the first 5-7 , my 'rents had it in upstate NY where we saw 150"/year average. I sheared 1 pin on the auger after running over a buried phone book, and the hose for the primer bulb dry-rotted and stopped working. Other than that it's been flawless with clearing 2 gravel driveways (150') at the old house and 150' of paved driveway at the current house. That said, I may have an Original Troy Bilt, before they were another MTD clone.. fired up yesterday on the second pull.

troybuilt was purchased by MTD in 2001

As a former Sears employee, don't ever spend a dime on anything that says "Craftsman" on it, and either runs on gas or plugs in.

nice truck but damn those stubby front doors drove me nutts on the 04-08's! Ford did the right thing when they; Made the front doors regualr size on all body styles including the crews, and when they offered 6&3/4 ft beds on the crew cab trucks.

100% agree.

It's a real nice truck though. Love the color.

Springfield XD-40 sub-compact. Ive had my CPL for a while now and with the recent break-ins at our shop I became motivated to pick something up. Broke it in last night, I like it so far.

Well after the 24" 2 stage crapsman snowblower fiasco and my old 21" cable breaking last night and part of today I said enough! I'm never going through what I went through last night and this morning and I ordered this! Shit lowes only seek the 24" with the 178cc motor. Troy bilt online free shipping sells the 208cc 24" for same price! I bought it! Be here next week! Wahoo, my dad has the 26" with the 208cc motor and it hogs down some snow so I'm sure the 24" will haul it being it has a smaller intake amout but same motor! Lol now I just have to rig up the use for one arm for when my brother fails to help me out.
