I dig it! Used to have the same car, just about 150k more miles LOL. Look into the boat roller trans mount to fix the crappy original design.

This isn't my first one! I also have a 2003 SLE with 230k on it. Runs great, but it's having the trans mount issue you're talking about. Crap design.

I wasn't looking to get another Bonneville, but I drove by this one and decided to give it a look. Was pretty hard to pass up, like 1/3 the cost of getting a brand new car. Very fun to drive. I'm going to keep my old 2003 as a winter ride!

Grabbed a quick Google pic since I'm too lazy at the moment to host the one pic I took of it so far.

Went to the LGS to pick up some ammo and random AR bits, this Mark IV was sitting there just waiting to come home. Always wanted a Mark series, now I finally got one.

Finally gave up on splitting by hand and got this delivered on Thursday. Finally got to use it today. So far haven't found anything that will stall it yet.

I don't know if it was a good idea or a bad idea but I picked up a Georgia truck. 2011 SLE 6 seat leather, but not much more to it. 140,000 miles and very clean. No rust on the rockers or cab corners, only thing it needed was a battery and some cleaning. Headlights, and chrome cladding deletes are it's next repairs.

Is that a 2wd?

Yes it is, I didn't need a 4wd. Good home Depot cruiser and camper puller. It is really just a back up vehicle for me. I drive less than 5,000 miles a year in a non company vehicle. Some things I can't use the company Tahoe for.

Yes it is

I ask because the 6sp transmissions in those usually fail before that mileage.
Some simple steps can help extend the life of those..... Regular fluid & filter changes/ HP Tune for the transmission/ On some models they have a thermal block to loop the transmission cooler lines that does not open till 190ish degrees...
They sell some easy to install bypass kits that keeps the operating temps lower and extends life.

It has an aftermarket trans cooler on it already. The back of the black and trans case is clean. I am guessing transmission was replaced recently because just like you said the transmission doesn't last that long usually. That's why the 140,000 intrigued me. Generally the lifter issues and trans issues have been dealt with by then. I will look into the hptuners, that will make me happier knowing the GM cal isn't controlling everything lol
