They seem good so far. Pretty comfortable on the ears for hours at a time.
That's my chief complaint with the Beats .. After a couple hours they become physically painful to wear.
I bought the Beats several years ago in the Atlanta airport on impulse ($350).
My primary motivation was the noise-canceling characteristics of the Beats (according to the box).
For actual music quality anything would probably be fine for me given 90% of the time I'm listening to podcasts (Econ Talk, Motley Fool, etc).

You may want to look into some earbuds. They provide better noise canceling than most headphones. There are some really comfortable ones out there, such as Klipsch, Grado, Shure, V Moda, and Sennheiser. I have a pair of Sennheisers I picked up for $50 and have no qualms wearing them for extended periods of time. Good earbuds will come with various sized tips so you can find which size is most comfortable to you.

I have a set of Klipsch earbuds that I wear all day at work. The noise cancelling is great, even without music on you can't hear much with them in your ear. Mine came with 3 sets of tips.
