Had a lego store open up near me, so went and treated myself in its celebration

Holy shit that's a big set. 3100 pieces?!? That'll take a while.

I have the regular star destroyer which I think was just over 1000 pieces and it took me a week of about 2 hours a night working on it to get together.

Lego store ??? Details ?? How can I find one? I Fucking loved Lego's as a kid.. and the box store seems to only sell shitty sets now that dont even resemble the legos I had as a kid.

I'm in Atlanta. There's a massive kick ass one on Michigan ave in downtown Chicago. That's the closest one near you guys unless they built one in the Detroit area.

The one in Chicago is massive. The store here in Atlanta and I assume in Troy are about the size of a Gamestop. But still a much better selection than target etc...

me and you have to visit each other! My projector room wont be done until next year but my living room will be complete shortly!

Funny thing is I am very skeptical about expensive cables. I upgraded my HDMI cables and noticed a pretty big difference when playing video games in 3D, and watching Bluray. Then someone told me about upgrading the powder cable to the PS3 and tv as notable differences. That is why I am nervous to move the receiver so far from the tv. Next is some sort of power conditioner/surge protector.

yup all true! if the shit didnt make a difference these companies would not be around. I have been using high end monster cables all my life, but for the new set up im going audioquest.

I need to come up with some sort of nice but frugal speaker wire.

Not these, lol.

Get a cheap soldering iron and make your own. Most of the botique cable manufacturers buy their stock from the same distributors, which is available for pennies per foot compared to what finished cables run for. Be very careful when cable shopping, theres more snake oil out there than anything else. With cables, high price doesnt mean high quality ;)

Heres one of the better cables for speaker cables: http://www.markertek.com/Cables/Bul...poration-Of-America/4S11GRAY200M.xhtml?4S11FT

Some spades to terminate: http://www.markertek.com/Connectors...onnectors/DELUXE-SPADE-B.xhtml?DELUXE-SPADE-B

And finish with your choice of Techflex and heatshrink ;)
