Awesome. Wasn't the "GMC" in the grill originally black as well? I drove one all through senior year in high school back in 92. I loved it.

I just got my lightning back. Sold it in 2005-6, regretted it, tracked it down in West Virginia, picked it up last fall with only 20k more miles on it.

99 lightning, black, BPU bolt ons, best 12.4 at 110mph with stock exhaust manifolds.

Nope only the early build 1992 typhoons had black grille letters from factory
