I like the mech. shark idea and that theme but think "the Reef" works better IMO. There's already the Shark's club in Waterford.

SWEET!! It looks like my idea (Octane) is #1 as it stands right now!!:rockwoot::drunk: There is onlu automotive businesses with the word "Octance" in them...no bar/club called Octane. Theres a post by WikdSVT in another thread that has a link you can search for an open business name.

How many Johnny Bombs, Liquid Cocaines and Long Islands can I get for $100??

Also, Octane won't be that masculine if you have some chick with a sexy voice do the ad on the WRIF? I could see Octane being a cool attractive name for both men and women alike.

Knowing you, the name should be "BACK-DOOR BOYS OF ST CLAIR SHORES" or "THE PINK MUSTANG", maybe "I BUILT THIS BAR AND ALL I GOT WAS THIS RAINBOW T-SHIRT!", possibly "BACK ALLEY POWDER ROOM". That should attract the kind of friends you love for those exciting Saturday nights:hmsign::1520::twak:

Hey guys,

Just to set the record straight---this place is going to have live music/DJ on Fridays/Saturday. And more then likely an 80's night on Thursdays. Sports on Sundays and Mondays, pool/dart leagues throughout the week, etc. But it is definitely not a straight up night club. Too my wife and me, "Octane" screams nightclub.

Maybe it's me, but when I say, "Let's go down to Octane and get a bite to eat and hang out for a while" on a wed night or something, it sounds strange. Instead of "Lets go down to Woodys or lets go down to Gilberts....." Octane screams party and night club----Does that make any sense or am I smoking something?

We want it to be/sound comfortable and inviting. I think Octane works for everyone on here because that is what we eat and breath!! :gr_grin: but not so sure for the joe public. Just my .02.

Let me have it---I'm all ears and again thanks for all of the feedback---definitely opened my eyes to other possibilities.

That does make sense indeed, good thinking. For a wild and crazy saturday sure, but good luck getting the local business folks there for lunch during the week.

Gilberts Lodge/ Shores Inn both of them sound like a bed and breakfast somewhere, but they do a great business. I understand you'd like to use a car influence if possible, but not manditory.

Well, I didnt wana say it since everyone on here seems to want it, But you said the demo you were shooting for was 25+... To me Octane sounds like a club name in canada that all the 19 year old punks would go to.... I really dont care what its called, I'm goin no matter what...:lol:
