I have a 99 Tahoe. When I go to start my truck it just cranks and cranks then after about 10 times of trying to start it. It will fire up with a lil bit of hesation. I did a tune up on it a few months ago. And it has a new fuel filter on it. I can hear the fuel pump running when I turn the key. It seems like every day it gets harder to start. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

check the injectors, had the same problem with my ts10. might need new ones, or just clean them. go get one of those injector cleaners from an auto parts store and put it in you gas tank. might help out, worked for me.

Well.... I'd just start diagnosing....

You need compression, air/petrol, and spark to fire... Fuel is probably where your problem lies - did you put your fuel filter on backwards? =P

I did check the fuel filter to make sure its on right. Looks like I will have to take it in and have it checked out.

does it smoke at all when it finally starts? Ive had a few leaky injectors where it would poof out some gas when it finally started.

Is it setting any codes?

I have a fuel pump waiting to go in my '00 Silverado when it finally dies. The fuel level sender has been acting up for a year now but the pump is still ok. I bought the genuine GM pump on eBay. Much cheaper than I could find it locally.

Thanks for the ideas... Anyone know anything else it might be? Im going to take it in in the am.Again Thanks
