Please help me choose a tire for my car!!

Hey guys,

I am buying new tires for my Z06 and I can't make up my mind between two different ones. Before I mention which ones I am deciding between, let me tell you what I am mainly looking for in the tire...

TRACTION on the street!! I realize that neither of these tires will give me drag radial like traction, but I am looking for the one that will provide the better traction. If anyone has any experience with either one, please share your opinions. If not, take a wild guess and tell me your opinion..:lmao:

So, the tires I am looking over are:

1) The new Nitto Invo in a 345/30/19:

Or

2) The new PS2's in 345/30/19:

So, if it were you and you were to decide between these two tires given that your main concern is traction on the street, which tire would you pick?

TIA

Neither! Neither of those will give you traction on the street...

Ryelou and TRBOBUICK both have suggested this tire as so have I...

Ryelou said even a S/C Viper had a set on and it hooked cold...

Plenty of cars are driving around on those Hoosiers and haven't had a problem...

I was just about to post that, but I scrolled down to see you already did.

Ya and nobody drives around on ET Street or Drag either.:secret:

Those of us that have death wishes ride ET Streets.

Just because you don't wreck with ET Streets on your car in the rain doesn't mean you are a skilled driver, it means it wasn't your day to die.

You can't defy physics; it rains and you are screwed.

If you have any intention (and even if you don't) of driving that car in the rain, go with the Nittos.

that Nitto tread pattern looks fucking worthless. You are giving up a lot of surface area with those two gigantic grooves running around the tire. A 325 in those turns into a 275 tire that has a real tread pattern.

I say don't fall into the stupid looking gimick tread pattern and go with the PS2's.

I thought the same thing, that 345 turns into a 305 :(

I have the BFG's DR and 10.5 inch Z06 rims on my C5, those tires hook up good on the street and at the track, I got 295/35's

I tried to back my T-bird out of the garage once with snow on the ground when it had F1 GS D3's. It didn't work. I can't imagine actually trying to drive it around on the street when it couldn't even get out of the garage.
