Playing around on the quad

Well being a die hard dirt bike guy I always bashed on quads, until I took one for a ride. My friend Ryan and I took his 400ex out and were playing around a bit. I'm in the white sweatshirt. This was probably the 2nd or 3rd time I've ever tossed a leg over a quad. I had such a good time that I aquired a suzuki 450 for myself this past week!

gotta love quads...
you'll love your toy new..buddy has one that puts 44hp to the wheels and it flysssssssss
 
Those 450's haul the mail. I would love to have another quad some day. It will probably be years away, though.
 
LOL. Now maybe you will ride with us up in mio? hhaha Quads are a blast. I have a slow 300ex, but its the wheelie king.
 
couple buddies are building a 5 acre half mile track with all the goodies outside of milan right now. After seeing what they are building im thinking i might need to get a bike or quad by spring so i can learn to ride.
 
quads are a ton of fun man. and not to bash you at all but i have seen some pretty bad crashes from people doin wheelies with their foot in the bar like that. its alot safer (and easier) when you get the hang of a wheelie with both feet on the pegs. i know youve only been on a quad a handful of times so like i said im not bashing, just...giving a tip i guess youd say. be safe and have fun man.
 
nice grab trig.......honda east has new '08 trx450er's for $4300 right now, and both my daughters are pushing pretty hard for me to get them one. i dunno, maybe once my car is done i'll grab another quad. i miss not having anything to ride.

Thats a helluva deal! Id like to find a nice used 06+ 450r for about 2500-3000. Id settle on a nice used 400ex for about 2 grand or less. lol
 
i dunno, used 400 ex's scare me. they're air cooled and unless i've been the only owner, ya never know how hot they've gotten. there an '05 kfx 400 on toledo tuners right now that's only $2200 i believe.

not to plug honda east, but they also have '10 yfz450x's for $5100, and bill balance edition's for $5400. that's almost $3000 off each model.......
 
I was out all weekend riding the 450, and man am I sore! I suffer from dirtbike vision and try to stuff the quad where it can't fit. I paid the price a few times for it! As for the wheelie thing, I can do sit down style wheelies just as easy, either way hasn't been too much of a problem for me thus far.

I was gonna say the same thing. A friend of mine crashed bad like that, really effed himself up and the quad too. Dont take much to get your foot stuck in that bar and then bye bye
 
Thats a clean lookin LTR there. went ridin for about 4 hours yesterday with a friend of mine and man was I beat afterwards. Tightened up the suspension on mine a little bit, Feel alot more stable but man does it beat ya up thru the whoops. was havin a hard time doin wheelies in the sand to all it wanted to do was spin the tires lol.
 
Mine was spinning very bad as well yesterday. It would start to stand up, but then spin bad. I'm paying the price today for riding all weekend. I haven't been this sore in a while.

i'm gonna have me a 2 or 4 wheeler eventually......save some fun for me....
 
That's pretty sweet. I have lost on VHS a video of me doing a wheelie on a Yamaha dirt bike back when I was 16...almost fell off but dragg both feet and landed it. The commentary from my buddies is hilarious...but I cannot find the tape. :(
